Our Year 7 students enjoyed a wonderful camp at Campaspe Downs in Kyneton. The weather was kind with beautiful days and cool nights. Students and staff have reported they really enjoyed the camp and enjoyed to getting to know one another. Students participated in a number of outdoor activities including the flying fox, abseiling, possum glider, raft building and the leap of faith with a trivia night, talent show and disco to keep them entertained at nights.
Staff were very impressed with the students and complimented them on their behaviour, team work and willingness to try new things.
“I am someone who is actually scared of heights but the climb up Hanging Rock actually boosted my confidence and now I feel better than I ever have in my entire life.”

“Our afternoon activities were abseiling first – I was a bit nervous at the start but I did it anyway and it was fun. We had raft building next and of course I was the first one to get wet because I fell through the middle of our so called good raft.
On day 2 we had a team challenge then the leap of faith, that was fun and the best so far is the flying fox it goes so fast!”
Jordan Green
“The team challenge was the funniest thing we had done, we had to work as a team and then we had the leap of faith, I was sweating so much I almost fell of the platform. ”

“My first thoughts at camp was this doesn’t look very fun but boy was I wrong it was awesome. I was worried I would not be in cabin with any friends but once again I was wrong.
We did a trivia night ran by Mr Cheal it was fun and my team came third. After that we had a talent show and it was really cool.”
