Last week our Year 10 Public Safety classes visited the Echuca CFA station to put some of their learning into context. They were shown around the station including the communications room, the change rooms and had the chance to look through the new vehicles. Students were amazed at how well designed the new trucks were and how there was no wasted space. Students also got to experience the weight of structure fire clothing and breathing apparatus, which gave an insight into how hard our CFA volunteers work when responding to a fire. A huge thank-you to Stewart and Ian for allowing us to visit and imparting your wisdom and enthusiasm for your community onto our students. Pictured are Aaron Loader with the breathing apparatus on and Hayley Morris wearing the structure fire turnout gear.
