The two VCE Physical Education classes travelled down to Melbourne for a hands on learning experience. The day started at Bounce in Essendon where some students got to show off their coordination skills on a trampoline and Mr. Bessell lived out a childhood dream and finally got to dunk a full size basketball ring. From there we travelled to RMIT Bundoora for the VCE PE Enhancement session. The session was run by RMIT students who took us through a variety of fitness testing including a V02max test, the use of technology such as GPS trackers and related it to the VCE PE curriculum. A couple of highlights was Kyle Scott and Mr. Bessell achieving great scores on the V02max test and Damien Kempster having the highest vertical leap for the program with an amazing 74cm. A great day was capped off with pizza, pasta and ice-cream on Lygon St.
