On Monday the 1st of May the Senior Boys traveled over to Moama to compete in the first stage of the Herald Sun Country Cup.
The first game was played against the eventual winners of the competition St Joseph’s which we unfortunately lost.
The second game was full of excitement seeing the back line hold up very tight against Moama Grammar. After a very late goal in the final term we thought we had the win, however our tough pressure around the ball did not prevail. Moama Grammar kicked a goal with 5 seconds to take out the game 5.5. 35 to 5.3. 33. In the third game we also come up against a strong Rochester team which we also unfortunately were defeated by. Overall it was a great day and the boys competed very well.
Best Players for the day were: Cohen Betts, Tye Haywood, James Brown and James Whitehead
