Each year a number of our Year 11 students volunteer to participate in the Peer Support Program to support the transition of our new Year 7 students to Echuca College. The program is run weekly across Term 1 to help our Year 7 students feel supported at Echuca College. The program benefits both the Year 7 students and the Year 11 students, providing a mentoring and leadership role for them in the College. In the current session the Year 11 students mentored their Year 7 groups on the characteristics of what makes a good friend. They also worked through strategies to use if they feel bullied or unhappy in different situations.
