The Year 7 & 8 Boys team produced some magnificent football at Nathalia winning five out of the six games played. It was a big day with 2 hours of footy played for the day by the boys. There were some very quiet boys on the bus trip back to Echuca! Both Rochester Secondary College and Echuca College won five games and lost won on the day, with Rochester winning the head to head battle and therefore progressing to the next stage. Luke Edwards dominated the ruck, Keadin Ronnan ran all over the ground, Mason Coote was under every pack, Josh Beveridge was hard at it in attack and defence and Corey Garner used his pace to good effect. AJ Mills displayed silky skills and Ryan Campbell controlled across half back. Jayden Matthes was solid in defence and crumbers Jordan Simpson and Jake Cardilini were in everything. Zac Ross and Levi Dixon kicked some vital goals to help get the boys over the line. Wins over St Joseph’s Echuca, St Mary’s Nathalia, Nathalia College, St Augustine’s Kyabram and Kyabram P-12 were a fitting result for all the training and effort put in before and on the day. Thanks to umpires Mitch Lake and Jacob Baldock and to the parents who came to support.

David Pearson & Jayden Dixon.
