Translation;
As an Australian teenager, there is a lot that can be done for the preservation of the bilateral relationship between Australia and Indonesia. A combination of Facebook, social media and other communication tools can be used to involve people other than myself. Our countries are so close that it’s impossible for our governments to not consider each other’s circumstances. From this the possibilities of improvement for our relationship with Indonesia is tremendous.
I live in a small town and go to school in a town far from the capital cities and other facilities which, I have found, that there are not many opportunities for the majority of the community. Society has become, somewhat mono cultural and uninformed about other countries, such as Indonesia, outside of Australia. In the community, social media is predominantly used by teenagers in Australia. From this, we are able to share information and spread awareness show support in times of disasters, such as natural occurrences. If I can appeal to adolescents and children, with social media and new forms of communication, it is possible to create connections and relationships with overseas communities. Whatever is developed will impact on the situation with Australia and Indonesia in the future.
The location of our countries is very close, so if we do not improve the state of the relationship we may be faced with difficulties. Because of this, our economies are strongly based around trade and tourism. If this relationship remains in a positive state, the economies in our countries will be improved further. Through talking with children and adolescents about Indonesia and why they should learn Indonesian or visit Indonesia.
In conclusion, Facebook, social media and other forms of communications will be important tools for the future of our economies, especially with respect to the tourism and trade and increasing awareness and communication. The help of a good relationship will ensure the preservation of an important working relationship with Indonesia.
