Echuca College is very excited about the prospect of a Soccer Program with Echuca Primary School. The program is being developed with the assistance of Dave Coward-FFV Zone Development Officer and Border Raiders Head Coach and Darryl Brown- Vice President and coach of U14’s and U16’s from the Border Raiders Soccer Club.

We recognise a fantastic opportunity for students from our school to develop key skills as players/mentors, whilst utilising the amazing facilities of Echuca College. We are working towards developing a pathway for players to realise their potential in a professional and organised environment. We hope to provide challenges as we work towards access to interschool and state level competitions. We are also promoting our students in our community, with all of the positive qualities that they can bring.

Echuca College welcomed students from Echuca Primary School on December the 12th, both boys and girls from Years 4 and 5. The session involved one hour of drills and mini games. The clinic was a great success and the students from both schools benefitted. The programme will also provide pathways for students exhibiting prowess in football to take their game to another level.

This program will continue in 2015 and will build towards school and interschool participation.

Echuca College is committed to enhancing our relationships with primary schools and creating a real sense of community in Echuca.
