Congratulations to all the student who participated in the 2017 Echuca College Public Speaking competition.   Students were required to deliver a prepared speech and were given a topic that they needed to respond to with an impromptu response.  House points were awarded to all participants and additional points to the winners of each category.  Given the increased number of participants Mr Duffy was able to organise the day in to three sections, juniors, intermediate and seniors.  The new structure enabled parents and families to watch their students participate.

Our judges Ms Anne Peace and Mr Terry Muller could not speak highly enough of the students efforts and were very impressed by the range of topics and abilities of the students especially the junior section. Ms Peace believes the College will have outstanding debating teams in the years ahead to build upon our already successful program.
