On Tuesday 3rd of March, students from our Year 10 Law class traveled to Melbourne for a very special excursion.

Their day began at the Aickin Chambers, where they were spoken to by a highly experienced barrister, Kerri Judd QC. After this, they were taken on a tour of the Supreme Court and observed part of a murder trial.

Students returned to the Aickin Chambers and were fortunate enough to enjoy their lunch whilst overlooking the city from the 31st floor.

In the afternoon, students received a tour of the County Court facility and took part in a question and answer session with His Honour Judge Saccardo. They then observed 2 criminal appeals in the County Court.

The trip was an invaluable learning experience for the students, who will certainly be able to apply their new knowledge in class.
