The Year 8 Boys were sensational, making the final of the interschool competition against St Joseph’s College. After winning the two qualifying games the boys lost by one point in double overtime. Many observers said it was the best basketball game they had seen in a number of years in Campaspe competition. Keadin Ronnan, Lucas Edwards and Mitch Berg were all in top form. MVP- Keadin Ronnin.
The Year 8 girls won two games and lost two games, despite only having five players. It was a big day for the girls with Hollie Davidson, Lara Judd and Hailey McCartney in fine form. MVP – Hollie Davidson
The Senior Boys were involved in one of the great games losing to a 3 point “buzzer beater” after being one point up with two seconds to go. Jake Martin put the boys one point up after slotting two free throws with two seconds to go, but they could not hold on. Clayton Thompson gave 100% and Jakob Ayres controlled the “boards “ throughout the competition. MVP – Jake Martin.
The Senior Girls had a big win against St Augustine’s Kyabram but found it tough in there other three games. Kelly Gould was the standout player using her height to advantage. MVP – Kelly Gould.
