If you have been reading the school newsletter over the past few weeks, you may have read that we are providing access for our parents to online video series Adolescents on Social Media: A Guide for Parents as part of our commitment to promoting the safe and responsible use of internet-connected devices to students.

In the fourth video, series presenter Jamie Roberts provides a brief overview of the more common social media platforms that young people are using. Also included are tutorials that explore the main privacy settings on Facebook and Instagram. It is vital that parents have a basic understanding of what privacy settings are available in helping their teens avoid sharing personal information with strangers.
