Our Year 7 and 8 Boys and Girls Volleyballers headed to Kyabram on Thursday April 16th to find out if their training for all those lunchtimes was worthwhile. Clearly, it was, especially for the girls, as they defeated St. Augustines, Kyabram, to win the region.
The boys lost a close one in the third set with Matt Hore leading the charge as Captain, more than capably supported by Kyal, Matt, Austin, Xander, Jordan, Nathan, Daniel and Mason. Their serving and team play was a credit to the boys and they will only get better with experience.
The girls won a tight match lead by Sarah with terrific support from Lara, Kiri, Bethany, Jackie, Madi, Jess’ and Amelia . All the girls should feel justly proud of their performance as the opposition was taller and all Year 8s.

A couple of our students were ‘talent spotted’ by the clinic convener and were invited to an Academy Trial for potential inclusion in the State Squads.

Well done to all players who acquitted themselves with great skill and learned much from our clinic organized by ‘Volleyball Victoria’ on the day.
